1. Can anyone join the Senior Center and participate in center activities?

The center is open to Smithtown residents 60 years of age and older.

2. Does the center have any senior-oriented exercise programs available?

There are a variety of exercise programs geared toward senior citizens that are available on a regular basis, along with additional special programs throughout the year. Some of the programs include:

• Fitness and Strength Training
• Line Dancing
• Video Exercise
• Yoga
• Tai Chi
• Zumba

3. Does the Senior Citizens Department provide transportation, and who is eligible?

Transportation is available for residents of Smithtown, 60 years or older.

4. How can you find information regarding center activities?

A monthly calendar of events is available at the center or you may download the monthly calendar on the Senior Citizen's main page.

5. Is there a fee to join the Senior Center?

No fee is required.

6. Must a resident belong to a Senior Club to participate in center dances, trips, or activities?

No, however you must be registered as a center member.
