Beginning October 26th, the Smithtown Animal Shelter & Adoption Center will be open Wednesday evenings until 8:00pm. The new extended hours will enable adoptions, particularly for those who work during the day. The shelter is open 7days/week, MTThF 8am – 5pm, Wed 8am-8pm, Sat 8am-4pm and Sun 11am-4pm, except for holidays. The shelter is located at 410 E. Main St. Smithtown.
