The Town of Smithtown is serving as a collection point for back to school supplies for disadvantaged local children. From Wednesday, July 20th through Friday, July 29th, residents and businesses can drop off extra school supplies at Town Hall and the Smithtown Highway Department buildings. School supplies will be collected and delivered to the Smithtown Children’s Foundation at the beginning of August.
Ways to Give Back:
If you are shopping for a child or grandchild and you have extra supplies you would like to give back, you may drop off the extra supplies in front of the Mailroom at Town Hall or at the Smithtown Department of Highways.
The following items are requested by the Smithtown Children’s Foundation:
Composition notebooks
Binders
Loose leaf
5 subject notebooks
Backpacks are not needed at this time.
