Smithtown Department of Parks, Buildings & Grounds Director Joseph Arico to Receive “Partner in History” Award at the 2022 Smithtown Historical Society Annual Heritage Ball
Director of Parks Joseph Arico has been tapped by the Smithtown Historical Society to receive the 2022 Partner in History Award during the annual Heritage Ball gala. On Friday, June 3rd, 2022, the Smithtown Historical Society hosted a breakfast where the annual Heritage Ball honorees were announced. Every year, the Smithtown Historical Society chooses members throughout the township who demonstrate a love of conservation, community, a devotion to civics, and the mission of preserving and interpreting Smithtown history and culture.

The 2022 Annual Heritage Gala Honorees include St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center, as recipients of the Cornelia Smith Butler Community Service Award. Mary Ellen McCrossen will receive the award on behalf of the hospital. Longtime Historical Society supporter and Smithtown resident Margaret Durso will receive this year's Rockwell Award. Town of Smithtown Parks Director Joseph Arico will receive the Partner in History Award. The 2022 Heritage Ball will be hosted on November 3rd, 2022 at the Watermill Caterers in Smithtown.
