Updated Information on Solid Waste Collection

Updated Map

As a result of the recent changes to the carters for residential curbside pickup in Districts #4 and #7, the Solid Waste Collection Districts Map has been updated. Districts #4 and #7 will now be serviced by Brothers Waste. Residents can view their Carter District online at the Town of Smithtown Website, via the Department of Environment and Waterways Page or Click Here.

A large scale version of this map is available for inspection at the Town of Smithtown Department of Environment and Waterways, 124 West Main Street, Smithtown.

Carter Districts with new providers:

District #4 is located in the hamlet of St. James, along the borders of Brookhaven, the Villages of Nissequogue & Head of the Harbor, edging Northern Boulevard and Route 25 (Middle Country Road).

District #7 is located in the hamlet of Smithtown, edging along the perimeter of Main Street, from NYS Route 25 to Wyandanch Boulevard, NYS Route 454 to NYS Route 111, circling back to Main Street.

The Town of Smithtown will continue to update residents regarding waste pickup and curbside recycling via the Town Mobile App, Town Website and on Social Media. Residents should continue to place solid waste/recycling at the curbside for collection according to the regular schedule.
