The Town of Smithtown will
serve as a collection point for back to school supplies for disadvantaged local
children. From Wednesday, August 21st through Tuesday, September 3rd,
residents and businesses can drop off extra school supplies at Town Hall, the Smithtown
Parks Department, and the Smithtown Highway Department buildings. School
supplies will be collected and delivered to the Smithtown Children’s Foundation
after the Labor Day Holiday Weekend.
Ways to Give Back:
If you are shopping for a child or grandchild and you have an
extra notebook, ruler, backpack, etc. and you want to give back, you may drop off
the extra supplies in front of the Mailroom at Town Hall or at one of three
designated drop off locations; Town Hall, the Parks Department, or the Department
of Highways.
