Prostate Cancer Screening

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and the Town of Smithtown is Inviting You to Their Prostate Cancer Screening Event.

This event is open to all men over the age of 40 who have not previously been diagnosed with prostate cancer, regardless of whether or not they have insurance. To schedule a free screening, RSVP to 631-257-6070. Participants must bring a photo ID and a self-addressed stamped envelope in order to be notified about the results.

Please call the number on the flyer to be added to this event as soon as you can!  Limited spots! Wives! Girlfriends! Moms! Daughters!

Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States, exceeded only by heart disease.

September is the official Prostate Health Awareness Month in the Town of Smithtown.

Statistics show that regular screening can lead to early detection of prostate cancer. Screenings have decreased the prostate cancer death rate by nearly 40% since they began 20 years ago. IMF urges men over 40, or men with a family history of prostate cancer, to talk to their health care provider about prostate cancer.
