FDNY/Commack Fire Department Funeral Protocol for Lt. Christopher J. Raguso

Expect heavy traffic and road closures during the Wake and Funeral service of fallen NYANG (New York Air National Guard) 106th Rescue Wing Master Sergeant and Commack/FDNY Firefighter Lt. Chris Raguso. Traffic is expected to be heavy in both hamlets of Commack and Kings Park this week.

The Wake and service will be held at the Commack Fire Department (6309 Jericho Turnpike) on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 PM  and again at 7-9 PM.
The Funeral procession will begin at 11am at St. Joseph’s Church (59 Church St. Kings Park). However traffic is expected to begin at approximately 8 AM with road closures starting as early as 9 AM.

Expect congestion on 25a during the wake and funeral services. Road closures (open to home owners only) will run along the ceremony route starting at Meadow Rd (at Clayton Funeral parlor) to Old Northport Rd. Supervisor Wehrheim has asked all residents to plan according and to please have patience out of respect for the family and friends of Lt. Chris Raguso.

In lieu of flowers, donations are being collected online to benefit the children of Lt. Raguso via the FDNY Foundation.  All who wish to contribute can do so by visiting: www.fdnyfoundation.org/donate/ Scroll down to the “Fund” column and click on the "Scholarship Fund to Benefit the Children of FDNY Lieutenant Christopher Raguso" from the drop-down menu.
