Beginning on Saturday May 23rd, 2020 Long Beach, Short Beach, Kings Park Bluff, Callahans Beach and Hoyt Farm will be open, thoroughly sanitized and operational for Smithtown residents only. The Bathroom facilities will be open and cleaned on a regular basis. Residents should use the beach and Hoyt farm for passive leisure, and not for group contact activities, such as sports (volleyball and football) or loitering in parking lots. In an effort to keep everyone safe, the town will issue updates on the Town Mobile App if any of the beaches reach capacity. Residents can download the Town of Smithtown App via Apple App Store (iPhones) or Google Play (droid phones) for up to the minute news.

BEACH HOURS: 8 AM - Dusk (Approximately 7:30 PM)
HOYT FARM HOURS: 9 AM - Dusk (Approximately 7:30 PM)

SWIMMING: In accordance with the Governor’s executive order, Swimming will not be permitted.

RESIDENTS ONLY: Public Safety will be strictly enforcing Residency requirements, issuing summonses to vehicles not registered in the town of Smithtown or without a Smithtown Town Sticker on the Car.

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE PROHIBITED: A summons will be issued for the consumption of any alcoholic beverages on town property (Beach, Parking Lot etc)

NO DOGS: Dogs are not permitted at Hoyt Farm or at the Town Beaches, with the exception of the Dog Run area at the Long Beach Lagoon... Just across from the second entryway to Long Beach (across from the canoe/kayak launch).

BEACH CAPACITY: In the event that a beach reaches it’s capacity, the town will issue an update on the Smithtown Mobile App. Residents can download the Town of Smithtown App via Apple App Store (iPhones) or Google Play (droid phones) for up to the minute news.

SOCIAL DISTANCING: Residents are asked to observe social distancing guidance and to face wear masks in areas where social distancing may not be optimal.
