Purchasing Department

Responsibilities & Services

The Purchasing Department is responsible for the procurements of goods and services made by Town of Smithtown Departments including the Smithtown Highway Department as well as Smithtown and the St. James Water Districts. Procurements for School Districts and the Smithtown Library District are handled by those individual agencies.

  • If you wish to receive a copy of a current bid solicitation send us an e-mail with your Company Name, Mailing Address, Phone Number, Fax Number and the title of the bid you wish to receive.
  • If you would like to be added to our bidders list for future solicitations, send us an e-mail with your Company Name, Mailing Address, Phone Number, Fax Number and brief description of the goods or services that you can provide. When the Town has a need to solicit bids for these goods/services, an invitation to bid will be sent to the address you provided.

Small purchases are handled by individual Town Departments.
