Response Crisis Hotline:   The crisis intervention/suicide prevention hotline is open every day of the year, day and night, including holidays. Professionally trained and supervised volunteer counselors offer callers telephone support and help them to explore options that can lead to thinking through next steps. This counseling helps callers lower their anxiety and find their own solutions. Crisis counselors also provide referrals for support groups, clinicians, mental health clinics, other hotlines and a host of other community programs and services. 

Long Island Crisis Center:   Long Island Crisis Center provides 24/7, free, high quality, confidential and non-judgmental programs and services to support and empower Long Islanders at critical times in their lives.

Dignity for All Students Act (DASA)In September 2010, New York State leaders approved DASA to help ensure that schools have the tools and resources to afford all students an educational environment in which they can thrive. The statewide task force developed guidelines, with each school district developing its program for implementation on July 1, 2012.
